Title: Up Against the Wal
Format: (1 x 60′)
Genre: Corporate Activism

A small, quiet city is caught in the middle of a global battle between one of the most powerful unions and the world’s largest corporation – Wal-Mart. The small-town store has become the proving ground where the fight for unionization will be won or lost.

Up Against the Wal looks at what the local Wal-Mart really means to a small city, and how being chosen as the battleground between two colossal institutions has affected the community and the store workers. As the city awaits a legal decision, there is a sense of foreboding – how will this decision impact their jobs, their economy, their lifestyle? Will Wal-Mart close?

Who wins, Who loses, Big business, Big union, Small City……….?
